VISION AND MISSION 

VISION:

The SC-CATER is a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment of faculty, professionals, and persons with disabilities working together to enhance the lives of persons with disabilities in the areas of school, and transitioning to work. At the heart of the Center are the core values of equality, equity, and access. We hold the belief that no person should be deprived of services, benefits, or opportunity due to a disability.

MISSION:

To introduce and to provide training on assistive technologies and related educational resources for undergraduate (PK – 12) teacher preparation students and graduate students in College of Education programs.

1. Produce and provide training on assistive technology and related educational re-sources

2. To adopt a train the trainer model to provide information and expertise to Community K-12 teachers, postsecondary teachers, support staff, and rehabilitation counseling providers.

3. To develop and expand applications of assistive technology through grant funded re-search.

4. Provide a laboratory for USC College of Education and Rehabilitation Counseling students to practice assessment, IEP skills, and transition planning.

5. To provide resources to the faculty and staff
