South Carolina Center for Assistive Technology and Educational Research

SC-CATER is open Sundays 1-5pm

This site is a collection of resources to aid individuals with or without disabilities to empower persons in school or work. We hope this resource is useful for students with disabilities, parents, teachers, or persons at work, especially when so many are working and learning from home.

The SC-CATER is a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment of faculty, professionals, and persons with disabilities working together to enhance the lives of persons with disabilities in the areas of school, and transitioning to work. At the heart of the Center are the core values of equality, equity, and access. We hold the belief that no person should be deprived of services, benefits, or opportunity due to a disability.

To introduce and to provide training on assistive technologies and related educational resources for undergraduate (PK – 12) teacher preparation students and graduate students in College of Education programs.
